Lead Trainer

In this rewarding position, you are trained to lead the Girl with Grit Workshops. This job works directly serving and inspiring clients, with an emphasis on youth, girls, and young women. 

• Must be 21 and up

• Preferred candidates will have background or working towards postsecondary education in youth services OR a background in education, construction, or the visual arts. 
• Trustworthy and reliable.
• Candidates will need to feel comfortable taking charge of their classrooms and assistants.
• Candidates will need to feel comfortable being trained on small hand tools (drills, screwdrivers, hammers, etc). Please note, we will provide all training. 
• Candidates will need to feel capable of being trained on and running a safe space, from personal protective equipment to behavioral health. Please note, we will provide all training. 
• Candidates will enjoy building, creating, and designing alongside students. 
• Must past background check and be able to drive. 
• Must be able to lift 20 lbs. 
• Minimum hours: 5 hours monthly.

Coach

Social Media Manager

This position will be based on helping post content and improving our social media numbers. 

-Create content for social media with the assistance of the Director and Marketing Intern.

-Independently find strategies to boost followers across platforms. 

-Maintain Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn pages. 

-Update events and online social media shops.

Marketing and Content Coordinator 

This position will be based on community outreach and creating content for press and social media. 

• Build introductory email connections with schools, communities, and organizations that could utilize our services. 
• Personally seek out potential funders and make a connection about funding opportunities. 
• Send approved press releases, marketing materials, etc. to the news, community calendars
• Provide our social media person with content.
• Strong writing skills. 
• Willing to learn Canva.

Markets Coordinator
This position is for organizing markets, products, and supervising youth at markets. . 

Our Makers help make products for our markets and for our Girl with Grit Workshop packages. 

• Must be 21 and up.
• Must be organized and highly trustworthy. 

• Willing to work in-person one weekend a month.

Workforce Development  

This position creates connections and resource guides in communities for youth in settings where postsecondary education in the form of a university might not be available. 

• Basic office, communications, and writing skills. 
• Needs to be willing to use various research tools to create resource guides.
• Needs to be willing to work independently to make resource guides.
• Will be trained.
• Must be 18 and up.

Fundraiser
This position helps us raise funds for free programming for communities.

• Develop relationships with businesses to leave 25 fundraising jars. 
• Sign digital contract approving their placement and assuring monies collected in them are for Girl with Grit. 
• Must be organized and highly trustworthy. 
• Check and collect funds from all locations monthly. 
• Connect with restaurants about a percentage of sales. 
• Must be 16 and up.
• Must have valid drivers license and insurance.

Maker
This position is a great opportunity to get your school service hours or serve your community if you would rather perform a job behind the scenes. Our Makers help make products for our markets and for our Girl with Grit Workshop packages. 

• Must be 14 and up.
• Needs to take pride in craftsmanship. 
• Must be organized and highly trustworthy. 

• Willing to remote and in-person. 
• Minimum hours: 3 hours monthly.

• Perfect for the less social volunteer.

Mover
This position is a great opportunity to get your school service hours or serve your community if you would rather perform manual labor behind the scenes. 

Our Movers pick up our workshop materials from the storage facility location in their community and deliver them to their community’s workshop location. After the workshop, they return and account for all materials and return them to the storage facility.

• Must be 16 and up.
• Must have valid drivers license and insurance. 
• Must have access to a vehicle that small to medium sized bins can fit in. 
• Must be organized and highly trustworthy. 

• Must be able to lift 20lbs. 
• Minimum hours: 3 hours monthly.

• Often some flexibility in pick-up/drop-off schedule.
