Get ready to unleash your creativity and learn about tools in this exciting DIY workshop! Join us for a hands-on experience where you’ll build a simple project while gaining essential skills. This engaging class introduces you to common household tools, with a strong emphasis on safety practices and the personal protective equipment recommended by OSHA. As you explore trades like carpentry, painting, and plumbing, you’ll also discover a variety of career paths that involve working with tools. This workshop promises to be both fun and educational for everyone!

SKILLS TAUGHT:

🛠️Introduction to Tools! Students get hands-on practice with various common household tools.

🥽 Safety and Personal Protective Equipment! Students will learn all about staying safe when working with tools and the personal protective equipment OSHA recommends.

👷‍♀️Learn about jobs! Students will learn about jobs where they earn a high wage, they get to be more active, and work with tools.

🏠Project-based Learning! Build a birdhouse, planter, or a different build and add a little creative flair. (Learn about these trades: Carpentry, Painting, Tile, Electrical, Plumbing).

🎨 Get Creative! Learn helpful skills like painting and enjoy the elements of art and design that go with the finishing touches.

By checking the above box, I understand that my registration is non-refundable. Memberships and subscriptions must be canceled 30 days in advance. This agreement releases Girl with Grit Program and its affiliated parties from all liability related to injuries that may occur at any location at any class, camp, workshop, or event, regardless of whether injuries or contraction of illness are caused by negligence. I swear that I am participating voluntarily, and that all risk has been made clear to me. I forfeit all right to bring a suit against Girl with Grit Program and its affiliated parties for any reason, in return, myself or my child will receive participation in Girl with Grit Program. I will ask for clarification when needed. All students must adhere to a basic code of conduct and posted facility rules.
