Camp Girl with Grit
DO YOU NEED A POTENTIALLY LIFE-SAVING, LIFE-CHANGING SKILL-BUILDING WORKSHOP?
Girl with Grit offers a 3 hour camp for girls and women in the San Antonio, TX and Austin,TX area. This camp teaches essentials such as changing a flat tire, road safety, engine maintenance, introduction to tools and hardware, and general home care and repair.
The purpose of Camp Girl with Grit is to quickly saturate basic life skills that are needed for independent living. Camps have been called potentially life-saving and life-changing by law enforcement and behavioral scientists.
ALL AGES! GIRLS 8 AND UP! YOUNG ADULTS! WOMEN! MOMS! GRANDMAS!

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN IN CAMP GIRL WITH GRIT?
In our Flat Tires and Road Safety portion of camp, students will learn how to change a flat and other potentially life-saving road safety skills such as jumping a car, engine maintenance, and what to do and not to do if you break down.
We introduce a hands-on project in our Tools and Hardware segment of camp. In this part of camp, students learn the basics of using everyday tools like screwdrivers, wrenches, and drills; along with its complementary hardware like screws and bolts. Students will leave with a handmade key/coat/towel hook.
In our Home Care and Repair part, students will learn about maintaining a safe home, hanging pictures, patching a hole, along with basic problem solving every homeowner needs such as what to do when a pipe bursts, toilet overflows, or your lights go off.
