🌟 2024 Recap! 🌟

As we exit this year, we need to recognize all of these incredible milestones! ✨

This year, Girl with Grit has been on fire, serving well over 200 participants on average each month across 5 vibrant and growing metropolitan areas! πŸ’ͺ✨

We are beyond grateful for your support in helping us put hand and power tools and take-home projects in the hands of underserved and nontraditional populations. By supporting us, you are empowering them to unlock their full potential at home, in the workplace, and beyond.

Together, it’s been a year of growth, strength, and limitless possibilities. We have taught many youth and women skills they often miss. We have ensured they know regular household tools, safety, and even are preparing them for the workforce through Women in Trades, like Allie Perez @allieperezxoxo of Texas Women in Trades @texaswomenintrades.

To further prepare them for a safe workplace, we also added OSHA approved American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED certification for youth 13+.

Last but not least, in 2024 we also answered the requests of women and are now providing Tool and OSHA 10 Trainings to them as well with Skilled Trades Information Sessions with @texaswomenintrades.

As we leave this year, our program has entered various workspaces all with the goal of diversifying it with more women. We have built an incredible partnership with makerspaces such as @asmblyaustin and have worked within numerous school districts.

We have been funded through the DEWALT Grow the Trades Grant @dewalttough, the City of San Antonio Sustainability @cosasustainability, HEB @hebuttfoundation, GVTC @officialgvtc , MSC Direct @mscindustrialsupply and so many more.

At Girl with Grit, we put the power in girl power!

Thank you to our incredible partners for making this journey possible. Here’s to more grit, more growth, and more girls learning more skills in 2025! πŸ”₯πŸ’–
