Sponsorship

Being a nonprofit, we are in constant need of funding. To keep the program going, to keep our Girl with Grit working, please consider becoming a sponsor. With us being a 501c3, your sponsorship is tax deductible.

Types of Sponsorships

Program Sponsor: A Program Sponsor contributes a monetary amount annually to the general funding of the nonprofit.

Project Sponsor: We offer our girls workshops and projects such as our 1935 Chevy Truck. We are in need of corporate sponsors that can contribute funding to these projects. Want to sponsor our Truck Project? Read More.

Staff Sponsor: We currently offer jobs to our girls at the nonprofit (i.e. shop management, grant writing, etc.). Many work long volunteer hours and we are in need of sponsors to help cover staffing costs for free, teaching them job skills and building their resumes. They are currently the only paid staff to the organization.

Facility Sponsor: We are in need of expansion to our facilities. We are seeking sponsors to help cover the costs of expanding. Our program is in HIGH demand for entry and we are all out of space.

Equipment and Supply Sponsor: We are in need of equipment and supplies. We need tools, equipment, auto parts, and so much more. Our goal in expanding the facility is to offer a Girl with Grit makerspace to our community.

Girl with Grit Program needs strong funding to continue our goals!

Your Sponsorship will benefit the Girl with Grit Program the following ways:

Shop Facility: With overwhelming demand to take in more girls and teach more things (i.e. skilled trades, welding, metal fabrication, woodworking, etc. ), we need a dedicated warehouse/shop facility. Currently, we travel to generous businesses and private residences for workshops our facilities can’t accommodate.

Sponsors can help through monetary donations or by providing a rent-free or discounted rent for a facility to the nonprofit in the Boerne, TX area. Providing use of a facility to our nonprofit can serve as a tax write-off.

Truck Project: Our 1935 Chevy Truck Project is a very expensive project. The goal of the truck is for it to become the “mascot” of the program. We want it being a mobile shop, whether it’s a retail shop full of clothes and jewelry set up  or has a welder thrown on the back and operates as a mobile shop truck. The goal is a truck that can transform with the program from the girl to the grit. For this project

Sponsors can help through monetary donations to fund skilled labor, educators, facilities, and parts. Additionally, they can donate parts, supplies, equipment, tools from the mechanical and fabrication industries to support the mechanical aspects of this program.

Equipment and Supplies: As we look towards our future facility and our current group of girls, we carefully curate an outstanding group of equipment and supplies for them. We want a full-size makerspace with all the equipment we can get our hands on. These girls want to learn. We need welders, a 3-D printer, computers, list goes on and on. With future expansions, we hope to have a facility large enough with enough suitable equipment to offer our entire community an equipped maker space.

Sponsors can help through monetary donations and through sponsoring us with equipment, products, and supplies.

Administrative Expenses

Being a nonprofit and offering our program free of charge to the core members (our founding team), much of our rent, utilities, insurance, internet, staffing of educator roles and storefront management, and the general costs of operating a business are expenses we have to be careful.

Sponsors can help with minimal month by month sponsorships by sponsoring our monthly retail rent or utilities, sponsoring the monthly pay of our Girl with Grit Shop Manager, or they can make a larger one-time monetary donation.

Scholarships

Before a girl is allowed to apply for the free elements of our program, we require girls to complete 30 hours of prerequisite paid community classes. We do this to learn how to fit the girl into the program appropriately. We look for highly motivated creative types willing to grow and expand their skillsets and work as a part of a team. Some families cannot afford this element to the program and we hate to turn them away.

Sponsors can pick a girl or family to sponsor by paying class fees and purchasing supplies. We currently have a list of families in financial hardship.

Travel Expenses

In the future, we hope to run a Girl with Grit camp in Colorado. The projected camp will teach various outdoor skills, nature photography, and will run for 5 days in Crested Butte, Colorado the Summer of 2022.

Sponsors can help through monetary donations and through sponsoring us with housing for a week in Crested Butte, Colorado or the surrounding Gunnison Valley.
