COMMUNITY MAKERSPACE – MEMBERSHIP

What is a Makerspace?

Our nonprofit Makerspace is a place where one can learn how to “make” things and utilize equipment and supplies. 

What do get for your $60 Membership Fee?

We offer timed access to equipment in our Makerspace at 102 E. Hosack such as a 3-D Printer, Serger, Sewing Machine, Leather and Jewelry Making Stations, Cricut, Printers, and much more.

HOURS

Teen Access (13 and up)

Mondays, 10:30AM-12:00PM
Fridays, 5:00-6:30PM, 6:30-8:00PM
Book 90 or 180 minutes of weekly makerspace time! 

Elementary Access (7 to 11)

Tuesdays, 11:00AM-12:30PM
Thursdays, 4:30PM-6:30PM
Book 90 or 180 minutes of weekly makerspace time! 

We also offer discounted workshops and classes to our members. These include Welding, Woodworking, Metal Work, Art Classes, and Automotive. 

During our We always have trained staff on-site running demos, and to help instruct them.

Community Classes are co-ed classes and workshops that offer both girls and boys in our community the same unique instructional elements and classes we offer our girl gang. Our classes span everything from art to trade skills to instructional elements. Kids enrolled in our classes are also offered opportunities to participate in various discounted workshops.

 

ART CLASSES

We offer year-round art classes and workshops to all ages. We focus on everything from painting to sculpture and much more!

GIRL WITH GRIT MAKERSPACE

Girl with Grit offers co-ed classes, workshops, camps in their makerspace based in Boerne, TX. Our mission is to give youth and adults opportunities and experiences to grow their skills in everything from the arts, trades, to the entrepreneurial world. 

Girl with Grit Program is a 501c3 Girl-Powered Non-Profit located at 102 E. Hosack in Boerne, TX.

Not only do we offer everyone in our community a vast amount of learning experiences, we also offer the Girl with Grit Program, a program that aims to grow the skillset of girls and women in a safe space. We believe strong girls grow up to be strong women.

10 AM – 3 PM SATURDAYS
Products in our shop are created by the girls in the Girl with Grit Program or are selected speciality retail as part of vision of a strong girl.

We have great unique handmade items, gifts, jewelry, art, and more.

We also offer drop-in 15 minute projects for $5.

Young Entreperneurs
These products are created by the girls in the Girl with Grit Program. Proceeds of all sales go back to the girl with a portion to the nonprofit. We support them and they support us.
